Stewardship is a priority for Saint David’s. What is stewardship? It is “everything we do with all that we have all of the time after we ‘Yes’ to God in our lives.” Stewardship is less about money and more about how we think about the disbursement of our attention, time, energy and, yes, financial support. How neatly we keep our campus is stewardship. How much care and attention we give to welcoming newcomers and weaving them into the community is stewardship. How we guide our youth to spend their time and energy is stewardship.

Saint David’s would not operate if it were not for the extraordinary amount of hours and energy provided by volunteers within the community. Nor would it operate without the financial support we return to God in gratitude for the gifts God provides to us. While we run an annual pledge campaign in the fall, stewardship is a year round spiritual discipline at Saint David’s. Periodically, we make a collection for Episcopal Relief and Development, and we collect food on a regular basis for Saint Luke’s Community House and Second Harvest Food Bank. We are encouraged to contribute to other charitable organizations in the community through service and donations.
